Hello citizens.

Just reminding you that if you don’t vote tomorrow, you lose the right to complain about America for the next year or two. Even if you think your vote doesn’t count, or that Diebold is rigging the elections anyhow, or that your favored candidate will lose anyhow, that’s not the point.

If you’re over the age of 18 and will not be at the polls tomorrow, keep yer goddamn mouth shut until the next election. I’m not even saying who to vote for, or how to vote, just fucking do it. This is how we can be involved as citizens in a very small way. If you have an opinion on ANYTHING but don’t vote tomorrow, your opinion is WORTHLESS and I don’t want to hear from you until 2008.

  13. NO ON QUESTION ONE. there is NO NEED for more liquor licenses. period. YES ON QUESTION 2. give independent politicians a more fair fight and make endorsed politicians live up to their campaign promises. NO ON QUESTION 3. while childcare providers do need more bargaining power with the state, if this is passed into law, they will just form unions that will raise the costs of child care and require union dues and so on. if anyone has any arguments otherwise, please post em.

  14. Yes on 2 wouldn’t be good for independent candidates, would it? The impression I got is that there is a third “independent” party endorsing someone already on the ballot.. so instead of Mihos on the ballot, Patrick would just be there twice as an independent. I’m sort of confused by the whole thing.

  15. yeah if you put it that way, it doesn’t sound so great. uhh…well basically, if someone has no chance of winning, like an independent, but you still like what they stand for, and a relatively large percentage of the votes go to him/her, then the one who wins the election would have to take the independent’s platform and ideas into heavy consideration. i think.

  16. heavy consideration is the equivalent of “ill just set these over here and forget about them” politicians rarely give their own platform heavy consideration after elected.
