My dad told me never to bring any boyfriends back to the house. That hurts. I was reading this so, I mean. What. I can take people cracking jokes, or just being stupid (“u wearin girls jeans u fukken faggit lol” comments from meatheads and brohams), but from my father? I’m all about joking around but what he said was purposefully mean. It also sucks to know that he’s not unconditionally behind me and I can’t really talk to him about anything, which is funny because he left me MYSPACE comments (check it) to the contrary. I guess I got my hopes up.
My dad does the exact same things. I’m still trying to figure out if he thinks he’s joking or if he is intentionally a jackass to me. Pretty Christmas lights. 😮

Obviously not the same but my dad told my sister and I when we were little that we couldn’t like AJ from the Backstreet Boys because he was a “nigger”. I don’t talk to my dad anymore, clearly not because of AJ but because he was such an asshole and couldn’t have cared less about me. He also does this thing where he’ll be nice one day and I get my hopes up and think maybe he’ll change and then the next day he tells me that I ruined his life. You’ll get through it. For what it’s worth, I think you should do what you want in your life.
