speaking of which, im writing a response paper to on the road, and really, i dont know what i think about that book. for some reason it didnt blow me away. why? and why was he right?
i don’t know, maybe you were expecting a lot from it. whenever that’s the case, i’m let down by the book. i read it on the recommendation of one person, the only other time i’d heard of it being in a beastie boys song. i definitely felt inspired by the lifestyle, i hope it’s still possible to live like that he was right that “boys and girls in america have such a sad time together” (chapter 10)
